Writing

I write for me for the world to see

An author a poet or lyricist maybe

I write for the world from what I see

I put pen to paper it just has to be

An author a poet or lyricist maybe

How am I viewed for this lot of mine

I put pen to paper it just has to be

Words from my mind put onto a line

How am I viewed for this lot of mine

Images I share for others to view

Words from my mind put onto a line

Images penned to present my view

Images I share for others to view

I write for the world from what I see

Images penned to present my view

I write for me for the world to see

As usual you pen a good poem. “Images penned to present my view I write for me for the world to see”. This made me shiver because it is the way we all write, if we don’t write first for ourselves and hope that others are touched by our view along the way, we would be writing for the wrong reasons and be very disappointed.

Craig, nicely written. We all write for our own reasons (my own reasons change from piece to piece). Not being a poet, I don’t critique poems. All I can say is, I found no typos or grammatical errors, and the poem works for me. I especially like the line “I write for the world from what I see” – that boils down the essence of writing, reflecting the world through our own personal prism. Well done!
