The Lost Words

Where do all the lost words go

I wish that I could know

The writing tools stand idly by

Leaving me to ponder why

I let them in and then they leave

With blank paper in front I grieve

I sit forlorn and write no more

Lost words cast upon the shore

Author Notes

Good question, Craig. As I get older, I’m finding myself at a loss for words more frequently. Not just writer’s block, but simple words that just disappear from my memory at the most convenient time. I think it’s just part of growing older, my friend.

On the plus side, it’s very well-written. Ni nits to pick at, and good food for thought. Well done!

Good afternoon, Craig

Sounds a bit like writer’s block, instead the words one seeks are lost before you try to begin.

Well done,

Ray
