Some Haiku

Rebels, militias
Take both sides of Aleppo
Dead hold middle ground
Post-it cry for help
“I’m sorry for everything”
She pulled the trigger
You are always wrong
A typical liberal
Oligarchy fixed
By electing businessmen
To appoint bankers
Gabba Gabba Hey
Gabba Gabba Hey Hey Hey
Gabba Gabba Hey
Thank you government
I’m on my best behavior
For your drones watching
DVD player
Fell off the back of a truck
I got a great deal
I’m a bad poet
But I will write anyway
Bad poems beat no poems
Roadside bombs out there
Camouflaged, kids can’t see them
Will blow legs clean off

Hey, good morning, Dave!

Loved how each stanza (except the fifth which was enjoyable on its own) was a social/moral statement reflecting the ongoing developments within and outside our country. Enjoyed.

Take care and stay safe,
