Reflected Me

Into the mirror my eyes perceive

Another me yet to achieve

A questioning stare I give to it

A malevolent glare I receive from it

My ordinary face of the human kind

Reflected by something of the satanic kind

Hazel brown eyes look into the glass

Blazing  red eyes  look out of the glass

A modest smile from a modest face

Sneers back at me with obvious distaste

A mouth reflected as a cavern underground

Blood red and burning with canines all round

Wavy auburn hair interspersed with grey

Reflects  jet black and slick like clay

With a furrowed brow I look at me

At a cephalic brow alien to me

This other self is trapped within

This other self longs to begin

We have it in us to keep them at bay

Our demons who long to come out and play

Author Notes

One of my darker poems this one a bit Jekkyl and Hyde perhaps
