Last Autumn Together
|Remember French fries and cokes?
Ketchup plopping out of the bottle,
a sticky mess I wiped
off your bedizened blouse.
October sunshine dazzled the table.
Outside, we laughed.
|Inside a wrought iron fence
your tombstone leans.
Dying ferns and leaves
endow funeral draperies.
