Larry was born in a small town in the hills of rural Arkansas. Living just on the other side of the middle of nowhere gave him plenty of free time to read, write, play in the dirt and watch one of the three channels that the rabbit ear Gods provided for the family.
On his twelfth birthday, Larry received a copy of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and that was the catalyst that would start his appetite for books. If he could use something as simple as words on paper to free himself from the mind-numbing boredom of living amongst the trees and the rocks, then he was going to soak up everything he could get his little hands on. That one little dog-eared paperback novel would become his companion for years to come, and not just that one, Larry would spend countless hours in the school library reading and checking out books to take home.
Today, Larry is back in rural Arkansas with his lovely wife Melissa, his two boys and his ancient dog. Although he doesn’t have the time that he did in his youth, Larry still enjoys books and writing on occasion.
Some of Larry’s favorite authors are, J.R.R. Tolkien(of course), Lee Childs, Greg Iles, Stephen King, Dean Koontz. Gregg Olsen, Stuart MacBride and Linwood Barclay.
