The rustle of ivy
against a cool brick wall.
Wisteria and clematis
spider out
of hanging baskets
on a white-washed porch.
Lazy kittens stretch
in shady sunshine
licking their paws
beside a cistern
of rain water.
Mozart
is subdued
by a whirring fan.

This poem reminds me a lot of some of the summer days I had growing up. Lazy days, just hanging around doing nothing, but watching everything. Lots to learn, and great memories to revisit.
Well done.

says:Wonderful imagery of this little scene. I smiled at the Mozart line, as I am a classical music buff, wondering what was faintly being heard behind the sound of the fan. I could picture the whole scene. Very nice!
