Bye the Sea

A cool wind blows from off the sea
To breathe salt air at days first light
I walk alone to just be me
This fresh morn brings true delight

A lone gull cries from off the shore
To whom he calls I do not know
Together we search evermore
Forward the only way to go

Good morning, Craig

Enjoyed the poem. You’ve captured the individuals intermittent thoughts and emotions regarding their relationship with the sea. I know the feeling having lived in a small town for a few years on the Atlantic Ocean.

Take care and stay safe,
