rainbow orbs floating

suspended before our eyes

stolen by the wind

dazzling us beneath the sun

myriad colours soon gone

Author Notes

As we have been delving into some alternate poetry styles here is another Japanese style the Tanka.

An unrhymed Japanese poem consisting of five lines of usually following 5/7/5/7/7

Tanka is generally written in two parts. The first three lines is one part, and the last two lines is the second part.

Do not think of it as just a Haiku with 5 lines if you aim for the split first three lines and then last two and make sure they compliment each other you will get the idea.
