Baby Hands

Baby hands

Touching, patting, loving,

living feathers.

Seeking,

wondering, learning, reaching,

grasping for life.

Loving,

stroking, holding, dimpled,

Gods Creations.

Needing,

demanding, embracing, delightful,

waving tiny fists.

Comforting, .

Fluttering, fleeting, fragile,

precious treasures.

I loved the words you chose and the way you placed them in this poem, and especially liked the alliteration at the end with the “f” words. Perfect way to describe these magical miracle babies…. Great job with this poem!

Fantastic poem, Lisa. Makes me really miss my daughter being that young.
They grow up way too fast.

Aww, thank you, Tim. My daughter is the youngest of four, the only girl, born late in my life. (I was 33). Her tiny hands fascinated me and a poem came out…

Just lovely! Baby’s perfectly described through tiny hands. Very creative thinking expressed in this poem.
